Operating model

The firm stays in front. SPC works behind the requirement.

A client question comes through the practice. SPC turns it into analysis, a dashboard or a forecast, and the practice takes that back to the client.

The path of a piece of work

Data is analysed, turned into an insight, and returned through the practice before anyone is asked to decide.

  1. 01 · Data

    Client data

Ledgers, sales and stock the practice already holds.

  2. 02 · Analysis

    SPC analysis

The management question, the definitions, and the model.

  3. 03 · Insight

    Insight

What moved, what it means, and what is still uncertain.

  4. 04 · Practice

    Accountancy practice

Reviewed and issued in the firm's name.

  5. 05 · Decision

    Client decision

A next action management can actually take.

Completely white-label

The end client sees only the accountancy practice.

Co-branded

The end client understands SPC is the specialist analytical partner. White-label is the default.

From first call to a pack the partner will sign off

Week 0

A 20-minute call. One client, one question, the data you already hold. If it is not a fit, we say so.

Week 1

Data-processing arrangement, access list, and the brand the client will see. White-label is the default.

Weeks 2 to 4

Definitions written down with your accountant. First cut of the pack: contribution, cash, variance, recommended actions.

Week 5

Your partner reviews the output as if it were going to the client. We revise against that standard, not against a software demo.

Week 6 onward

If it is useful, we talk about repeating it. If it is not, the pilot ends. Expansion is a separate conversation.

Who does what

The practice

Owns the client, the fee, the advice, the meeting, and whether the pack goes out.

The client's management

Uses the output. They should not have to learn a new portal unless you want that.

SPC

Turns the requirement into analysis, a dashboard or a forecast, under the agreed brand.

Data handling

Client data is handled under an agreed arrangement

SPC uses controlled access, appropriate authentication, least-privilege principles and documented data-handling procedures. Specific client requirements are assessed before onboarding. Data-processing arrangements are agreed with clients according to the nature and sensitivity of the data involved.

  • UK GDPR and a data-processing agreement agreed before client data is shared
  • International transfers assessed where delivery personnel are outside the UK
  • Controlled access, authentication and multi-factor authentication
  • Least-privilege access to the files and systems required for the engagement
  • Pseudonymisation where it does not prevent the analysis
  • Client-specific restrictions on what may be accessed, copied or retained
  • Secure file transfer rather than unmanaged email attachments

Delivery can include specialists outside the UK, including in Pakistan, working under UK-facing leadership. That is an operating fact to plan for, not the product being sold. This page is not legal advice.

Questions practices ask

Does the end client have to know SPC is involved?
No. The default is white-label. The practice can also introduce SPC as the specialist analytical partner if that is useful.
Where is the work delivered?
Client leadership is UK-facing. Specialist delivery uses a distributed model, which can include personnel in the UK and in Pakistan. Access, transfers and retention are agreed before data is shared.
What does a pilot involve?
One suitable client, a defined analytical requirement, and an output the practice can judge: a dashboard, a forecast, or a set of management insights. Expansion is a separate conversation.
Do you replace the firm's accountants?
No. SPC does not take the client relationship, the audit, the tax work or the advisory seat. The firm remains the adviser. SPC supplies analytical capacity the firm does not want to employ full time.
